88 Walker Street North Sydney is a landmark $153M, 49 storey mixed-use office and hotel development. It consists of a 252 room, 4-star international hotel as well as 12,000 sqm of commercial space. The project commenced at the beginning of 2021 completed at the end of 2022.

The plumbing contractor installed Surepress stainless steel 316L pressfit piping system for all gas, hot & cold water services, as well as the water meter set-ups. A wide range of Surepress 316L pipe and fittings were used: from 15mm to 168mm. The contractor chose the Surepress pressfit system over other systems due to the speed of installation and the ease of modification onsite utilising the pressfit feature, which requires no welding or hot work permits.

The two major issues the installer faced were tight installation time frames due to multiple lockdowns and a lack of onsite storage. Allmach alleviated these issues by delivering Surepress fittings and pipe swiftly, with smaller and more regular deliveries.
