Allmach launched the “People Behind the Brand” series of articles in 2023. This highlighted the commitment and expertise of its leadership team, bringing a combined total of 139+ years of collective knowledge in the piping supply industry. The series showcases what we do and the dedication, passion, and experience each person brings. Our team took a step back from their daily work, reflecting on the meaningful contributions they make not only to their colleagues but also to the satisfaction of our valued customers. The series presented us with a look into the hearts, minds, and inner workings of its leadership team.
Safety is always front of mind at Allmach. It’s the company’s highest priority. In his interview, CEO Geoff Pugh summed up this sentiment in one line by saying “If we only get one thing right as an organisation, it’s to ensure everyone gets home safely”. This speaks volumes on Allmach’s priority to safety and well-being above all else.
Safety was also a key theme when we spoke to National Warehouse Manager Mark Bizzarri. Mark echoed this sentiment, talking about a culture of safety that permeates throughout the organisation. To celebrate the milestone of 300 days without an incident, a BBQ lunch was provided on December 1st to acknowledge and celebrate the team's commitment to safety.
People are at the centre of what we do, and we’re thankful for the people who show up to Allmach every day with positivity, and solutions focused on their customer’s best interests.
Giving back to the community
Giving back has always been in our family-first DNA. It is a guiding principle of how we do things. Part of Allmach’s Culture & Wellbeing Programme extends beyond the organisation to the communities we live in.
As well as giving back locally through monthly initiatives, we were fortunate to make a difference to communities outside of our borders, to Tanzania Africa through our 6K Team Challenge (link).
In partnership with Compassion Australia, we organised a 6-kilometre staff challenge to raise funds for water sanitation projects in Tanzania. The 6K Team Challenge symbolised the average distance children in these communities travel for water; water that’s usually contaminated given animals also drink from the same water sources. This initiative aimed to provide clean water, saving lives, and leaving a lasting impact. Through the team's commitment and the generosity of our supporters, we exceeded our target, raising a total of $7,975—33% more than our initial goal!
You can read the outcomes of our 6K Team Challenge and what we achieved with the help of our supporters here.
Allmach at Australia’s premier water conference OzWater 23
Water scarcity was a major theme at this year’s OzWater. Safe and efficient distribution of water (both potable and non-potable) is a large part of Allmach’s focus. It’s one of the reasons we took on the 6K Team Challenge.
The focus on water scarcity and sanitation at OZWater 23 allowed Allmach to showcase its range of water treatment solutions, with many unique features and benefits for our customers. Allmach’s Gardus and Surepress lines are faster and cheaper to install than traditional options, and have water preservation technologies built in.
Gardus' flexible leak detect hose protects both the environment and personnel from chemical spills. Surepress press-fit systems incorporate a check sleeve quality assurance feature, adding peace of mind and reliability and guaranteeing the integrity of each joint. Plus, its safety and installation benefits of no welding or hot permits needed make it a cut above traditional solutions.
Look out for OzWater 2024, where Allmach will continue to demonstrate its water-saving and innovative world-class product lines in the water treatment and distribution areas.
The 2024 theme Accelerating Action is a call to action for our community addressing the vital role water must play in the climate crisis of our current time. Together, we will ignite a powerful movement towards a sustainable water future. Ozwater'24 will take concrete steps to effect lasting change.
New announcements in the pursuit of excellence
Allmach is a company refusing to stand still. The pursuit of excellence is a driving force within the organisation. Towards the end of 2023, Allmach launched its new product Pipeforce. Pipeforce embodies the driving force and momentum behind Allmach’s commitment to its customers. With this new brand, Allmach aims to showcase its expertise, operational excellence, and customer-centric focus.
Sales Manager Chris Millar described the launch of Pipeforce as Allmach’s “commitment to excellence ensures our discerning customers receive products that meet their expectations.”
One of the benefits of this new product is strengthening the supply chain process and getting products to customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is widely accepted, that a break in the supply chain equals lost time, money, and productivity on the job site. Maintaining a DIFOT (Dispatch In Full On Time) performance consistently exceeding 99.5%, well beyond industry benchmarks, highlights our commitment to ensuring a seamless supply chain experience from warehouse to customer. This exceptional track record underscores our ongoing dedication to upholding these high standards as we move into 2024.
Another exciting development in 2023 was the launch of Allmach’s enhanced website, providing remarkable capability in integrating all areas in the purchasing to dispatching process, to returns and customer support.
Allmach’s Brand Manager Debby Kruger describes how the new website was built around listening to customers to make their overall user experience easier.
"We listened,’ said Debby, ‘drawing inspiration from our customers' needs in offering a website with exceptional benefits - a smoother experience, quicker quotes, and access to real human support. ”
Celebrating those who make it happen every day - our people
It may be a cliché for some, but Allmach’s strength lies in its people. The commitment to customer service, product knowledge and industry expertise all make Allmach what it is today. With the festive season upon us, what better way to celebrate our people than by coming together and doing something fun and interesting?
Allmach is flying 15 team members into NSW for a Sydney Harbour cruise, exploring the breathtaking beauty of the iconic Sydney Harbour area. The celebration will bring together the QLD and NSW teams, providing a fantastic opportunity for everyone to meet and reconnect in person against the stunning backdrop of Sydney's harbour. It promises to be a memorable conclusion to the year, highlighting the achievements and togetherness that makes our team truly exceptional.
This is a timely reminder that Allmach will be closed for a well-earned break from 20th Dec 2023 to 8th Jan 2024, ready and rejuvenated to continue offering the best in products, partnerships and service to our loyal and growing community of customers and friends.
Allmach wishes its customers, employees, and supporters a safe and festive break for an even bigger year in 2024.
